I grew up near the Quad Cities in Iowa. With such close proximity to Chicago, I visited the Windy City frequently, for the love of theater, shopping, baseball (Go Cubs), museums, the Navy Pier, and wonderful restaurants.
Chicago is still one of my favorite places to visit. Last fall we took our daughter to Chicago and she had a hard time keeping up with all our walking tours. “Mom, do you know we already have 17,000 steps? You are a crazy woman to keep up with! My Fitbit is blowing up.”
During that weekend we had the Chicago City Tour, Shedd Aquarium, Planetarium, Museum of Science and Industry, the River Architectural Tour, went to the Hancock Tower observatory, and shopped (till we dropped) along Michigan Avenue. My family loved it.
Kincaid Tours is doing tours to Chicago regularly. In fact, we have one coming up on June 5th – 8th, 2018.
Being the awesome tour planners that we are, Kincaid decided to turn things up a notch. We have a new partnership with Broadway.com and are going to plan regular trips for Chicago theater lovers. Our first offer is the popular show “Hamilton” in the famous CIBC Theatre! We’re combining that show with an opportunity to see the always awesome Second City Comedy troupe. On the way to and from Chicago we will also be attending a dinner/theater in the Quad Cities’ Circa21 Dinner Playhouse as well as have fun at one of their newest casinos.
Keep checking back for more amazing Chicago theater tours in the coming months, as CIBC will be showing other musicals. Send me an email and tell me which Broadway.com shows you want to see most – below are a list of choices!
- School of Rock
- Once on This Island
- Dear Evan Hanson
- Escape from Margaritaville
- Come From Away
- Beautiful: The Carole King Musical
- Summer: The Donna Summer Musical
- Lion King
- Mean Girls
- SpongeBob SquarePants
